Is there a permanent cure for Childhood Asthma ?
Unfortunately there is no cure for Asthma in any age group. But there are things which have been observed:
Many children under the age of 5 years have what we call as Viral Induced Wheeze, they need treatment similar to Asthma but they can grow out of their symptoms.
Some children and people can grow out of their symptoms. Some times these symptoms return back later in life.
If there is any known specific Trigger factor for Asthma symptoms, and one can get away from trigger. This may help to get one symptom free.
Having clear plan and following the plan, can help to keep the symptoms under control and child can have normal life..
If there is definite allergy, there may be possibility of treating the allergy with "Desensitisation" then one can grow out of Asthma Symptoms.
